T-Shirt Quilts

My biggest quilt yet, The pictured quilt is nearly 10 feet long and 7 feet wide. While that may be too big for most uses, I managed to fit in all the t-shirts from the concerts and events I attended during my college years.

This is a "variable" style, no boring sashing here! I use colors that accentuate each t-shirt design and the varying widths of the fabrics allow me to capture the full t-shirt design and still have the blocks line up in rows. These quilts can take 3 to 5 months, depending on the size of the quilt. Quilts can be made from as few as 12 or as many as 40 shirts, depending on the printed size of the shirts! It is an excellent way to preserve shirts you no longer wear, but remember - the design portion cannot have holes or I won't be able to use them.
